Denim Trends
Denim = more than just jeans. At WGSN, we do denim reports based on what we see on the streets, catwalks, merging this with how consumer attitudes are changing and their new needs. We don’t just think of clothes but we also think about technology and our environment and how this is influencing manufacturing, production, retailers & marketing approaches within the denim industry.
Denim: Exposed Hardware
All about exposed hardware and the idea of using functional hardware as decorative elements.

WGSN Denim Experts
Lourdes Linares
Associate West Coast Editor
Lourdes graduated from FIDM in downtown Los Angeles and has been working with denim and casualwear since 2006. Denimhead (early 2000s denim forecasting service that no longer exists) was her first real dig into denim and the industry and spent 7 years of her time devoted to denim research/forecasting denim trends and CAD sketching. She rose through the ranks and eventually became senior editor there. In 2011 Denimhead Company was acquired by WGSN and Lourdes continued on-board at Denimhead as well as working alongside and supporting the WGSN denim team. As of January 2015 Denimhead was merged with WGSN and it was then where she job-shared between the WGSN teams (denim, retail & buying, city by city, tradeshows and street style). Lourdes is the LA expert and has a really strong handle and eye for the US denim market, she owns the LA-based retail coverage well.
