Working in the technology department can be an adventure. We truly get the full Stylesight experience. Supporting content, client services, marketing and sales is a pretty big job – and building and innovating on a worldwide website isn’t a small one either!

There is always a lot happening here and we have to make sure everything keeps going. And of course, we are always working on new features and tools to keep you going. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming soon:

  • Searching the image library by color – choose a color or swatch and find all the images that match that color.
  • My Storyboards – build your own presentations online, and share them with anyone easily.
  • Notifications – receive alerts whenever your saved searches are updated, or comments are made on your images.
  • Folder sharing – send and receive folders from your colleagues just like you’re sending an e-mail.

In order to put this together, we collaborate with all sorts of amazing people every day – but the best part of the job is the clients.

Our clients come from all over the world, with different sizes and styles. One thing that links them all together is their computer – something which is very important to us.  After all, our site has to work on our end, and it has to work on your end. We love the chance to help clients get more out of their computers. Many times, the problem our users face isn’t their computer itself – it’s how their computer is dressed.

Computers are a lot like people.  Some parts – the parts inside the box – can’t be changed easily. But when computers change their clothing – software – it can turn them into anything: a dashing, debonair performer or a clunky, dreary mess.  Just as clothes make the man, software makes the computer – and not all software works the same.  As many of our users venture out on to the Internet, they might find that their computers are not dressed for success.

So, what can you do to make sure your PC isn’t a fashion nightmare? The first place to start is your browser. Browsers come in all shapes and sizes – but if you’re like most of our users then you probably have Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). It’s actually very easy to tell if your IE is fashion-forward – just look at the
icon on your Desktop:

Of course, there are many other great looks for this season. Your computer might be sporting the elegant, fur-trimmed Mozilla Firefox, or the sleek and sporty Google Chrome. You might even have Apple’s exotic Safari browser. All of these are smart choices that will keep you on the cutting edge.

Don’t worry – if your computer looks like it needs a makeover, you’ll be happy to know it’s free and easy. Most often, your IT department leaves your computers with old software because they see no need to update. But your computer could be working as much as 10 times faster – and with much better security – without costing a lot. Just tell your IT department that you need up-to-date software. You work hard, and your computer should work harder for you.

If your browser is getting dated, and you need help making the switch – just let us know. We’re always happy to help. We don’t want our clients stuck wearing hand-me-downs when they could be sporting haute couture. And while you spruce up your desktop, we’ll make sure our site looks good on it.
