Top Five Things We Love About Stylesight

1. Interiors:
Packaging Trends - Noise

This report features a forecast of packaging trends based on the F/W 10 theme, Noise. Navigate through the influences, shapes and concepts behind these themes and get inspired by the different design directions. A throwback to the ’80s, we adore the bold graphics and bright colors of the Playful Pop direction. The neon colors and graffiti-like imagery put a fun, youthful twist on the synthetic materials and blocky shapes used in this packaging trend.

2. Retail Preview: J. Crew Spring 10

Retail Preview, one of our new sections recently added to Retail & Showrooms in the Fashion Office, gives you a sneak peek of the upcoming collections launched by key stores, like this one for J.Crew. This report presents the Men’s Spring 10 line and gives an overview of the tailored looks and accessories that will hit stores soon. We love vintage-inspired accessories, like the Ray-Ban Clubmasters paired with those fitted blazers – preppy/casual ensembles J. Crew is notorious for creating.

3. Forecast Reports: Lounge S/S 11

Get cozy with this new report featuring the four S/S 11 megatrends: Heritage, Naviety, Divinity and Überground, reflected on the loungewear market. Explore the color palettes, fabrics and silhouettes of each theme. We are obsessed with the retro-glam, haute-hippie styles of the Naivety theme. The lightweight fabrics and loose layers pair perfectly with the feminine hues for a carefree, slightly romantic vibe.

4. Style Traveler: Brooklyn

Get the lowdown on one of New York’s more edgy boroughs and explore Brooklyn in our brand new Mini Traveler. Whether you’re in town for the weekend or simply a New Yorker looking to explore, this guide provides you with the best of the best, from diverse drinking and dining options to quality vintage shops. We love the maps section, which is broken down into alphabetized categories separated by area, making it that much easier to navigate your desired destinations.

5. Retail Analysis
Special Edition: Jewelry

Leather and bows and beads – oh my! This jewelry report for the F/W 09 season has the theme of something old/something new, from ’80s-inspired chains to elegant crystals. Chunky medallions and tangled necklaces are some of our favorites; we love the thrown together look of the knotted mesh and layered strands. Another favorite of ours: vintage pearls. When roped in with metallic chains it gives an edgy look that says these are certainly not your grandmother’s pearls!
