The role

Coloro is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join our Sales team in New York or LA.

Salary range - $54,000 - $80,000

Who we are

We help businesses find their way and set up the future of colour.

Coloro is the global authority on the future of colour. The Coloro team is made up of experts with vast experience in the colour, textile, fashion and creative industry. Having deep knowledge and understanding of the challenges that working with colour brings, they are driven by the vision of aligning the industry with the future of colour. Customers also love the connection Coloro has with WGSN, a brand they know and trust.

The team

We have a ‘small but mighty’ team based across EMEA and US. We support each other, work towards common goals, and celebrate successes together. We are at a stage of growth where we are ready to expand the team.

Even though you will be responsible for sales, you have the full backing of the entire team to help you - including access to creative experts, technical experts and senior management to help you win over your prospects.

Role overview

The goal is to win new business accounts, building trust and confidence by demonstrating your expertise about Coloro and the benefits we bring. You will stay close to your client through onboarding and nurture this relationship to ensure a smooth transition over to Coloro. For true collaboration, you will often interface with many client departments including creative/design teams, technical colour, sourcing, and execution teams. Even though you will be responsible for sales, you have the full backing of the entire team to help you - including access to creative experts, technical experts and senior management to help you win over your prospects.

How do you win new business?

You will generate new business leads through a variety of channels:

Warm outreach - You will be given a list of target accounts to work on (warm leads) and you will need to complete research on this priority list. This is referred to as prospecting - using all online platforms/resources such as LinkedIn, company websites, podcasts, newsletters etc. to redefine the goals and targets from your priority list and complete an account map.  The next steps involve you using your great communication skills. You will prepare questions in advance that will allow you to hold great, well-structured conversations with your prospect and build trust.  You will confirm your outreach (via phone or email). It can take time for businesses to consider new ways of working so you will be taking a strategic approach to help key stakeholders get excited and onboard. You are responsible for these accounts, growing them to transition fully to Coloro.

Cold outreach - You will source and research your own accounts to ensure enough activity to hit your business goals.

Inbound leads - Inbound leads may also be assigned to you for follow up.
