If you like cartoons and want to team up your TV habit with your wardrobe, a new collection from Zara fits the bill. Turner’s Cartoon Network EMEA has teamed up with high street fashion retailer Zara Kids to launch a collection of t-shirts inspired by its hugely popular franchise, Adventure Time.
The AW16 range aimed at kids aged 4-14 offers a fresh interpretation of some of the favourite characters using a hand-rendered technique and a more muted, washed out colour palette offering a more pared back retro feel.
Every key character from Finn The Human to Jake the dog is seen in this new collection, so that kids can wear their favourites.
Adventure Time is a new cartoon favourite to watch this year, having built up a dedicated following over seven seasons. Along with classic cartoon/animation staples like Nintendo characters and Hello Kitty, which have long dominated the licensing arena, Adventure Time is celebrating success in the fashion category too, after it received nominations in the 2016 UK Licensing Awards.
The Adventure Time partnership with Desigual already highlighted in last season’s licensing show key property highlights has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Licensed Children’s Apparel Range’ while the hugely popular Dr. Martens x Adventure Time boot collection is a finalist for the ‘Best Licensed Adult Apparel Range’ award.
