The Stylesight Youth Culture team were recently informed of the innovative new collective Youth Market; an online platform enabling young creatives to communicate ideas and submit projects, interact with other artists, and showcase their talent to brands and creative leaders in music, retail and art.
Youth Market comprises a simple tumblr page where visitors can upload work within the realms of fashion and graphic design, video production and music, then immediately seen by daily visitors to the site.
The event comprised several market stalls, curated to best showcase the winner’s imagination, by the winners themselves. To submit work, young creatives between the ages of 13-18 simply sent work examples and a link to their personal blog.
We like the idea that big brands are involving themselves with projects that enable young, creative talent to showcase and platform work, regardless of any training, or educational background.
