Yohji Yamamoto

yohji yamamoto spring 2012 men

Paris: Dressed in airy, oversized garments cut from ultra-lightweight summer fabrics, Yohji Yamamoto’s models looked cool and comfortable. Yamamoto’s S/S 12 silhouettes were similar to those shown at Issey Miyake; voluminous culottes, harems and ballooning lounge pants were styled with relaxed blazers, button-fronts and tees. From Mandarin collars to simple ethnic prints, worldly elements were subtly present throughout the show. A range of hat styles and grommeted scarf belts, often styled in multiples, accessorized. –Whitney Kessler
