Yohji Yamamoto

Paris: Yohji Yamamoto carried over the dark goth bent from his spring collection, giving it a punk edge and also a princess-y preciousness for fall. The designer’s signature layering and proportion play were present and accounted for, as he combined tattered fishnet tights with dreamy floral-swept tunics and anarchic mesh tops with archaic hoop skirts. The buoyant fabrics along with bursts of fiery red and fresh seafoam gave Yamamoto’s moody muse a relatively positive, even romantic, outlook for fall.
