New York: Blending sturdy with soft, Yigal Azrouel cut tailored styles from gentle materials for S/S 12. The collection featured mostly covered silhouettes, but skirt slits, deep V-necks, sheer fabrics and fits that hinted at underlying body shapes conveyed the designer’s “understated yet seductive” vision. Warm neutrals, black, true primaries and Kelly green characterized the show’s modern desert color palette. –Whitney Kessler
