In a collection aimed at slicing fabrics with geometric accuracy, Azrouël seemed to cut clothes with a scalpel. Hard and soft elements came together in sensuous layers. One-shouldered bodywear was veiled with sheer printed dresses or visible under jackets. The stand-out piece was a antiqued lambskin motorcycle jacket with studded shoulders and convertible, zippered panels. Alternating panels of laundered cotton and leather made for an elongated parka, covering a slash-neck tank and lurex body-con mini. A draped jacket in striped linen/cotton floated over double-layer knit shorts, in the season’s must-have heather grey jersey.
