Yeohlee Pre-Fall 2013

Yeohlee Pre-Fall 2013

New York: At the end of summer, when Pre-Fall collections appear in stores, going back to school is on the minds of many. Appropriately, Yeohlee Teng considered the notion of school uniforms for her current offering. Familiar plaids were used for classic henleys, tailored tops, and modest knee-length skirts. Boxy walking shorts also connected to the theme. As the collection went on, Teng expanded beyond the uniform-inspired items, providing her clients with tailored separates, a pair of pantsuits, and a handful of elegant sheaths. Bow blouses dresses things up, and a lush floral print added a romantic touch. Texture patterns printed on crisp silk gave items an interesting crinkly look. The charming schoolgirl references mixed with sophisticated pieces made for a pleasant, diverse offering. –Joanna Manganaro
