Along with the anticipation of denim lines like William Rast and Diesel showing in New York, it was a pleasant surprise to see that Yohji Yamamoto stepped-up the denim quotas on his recent Y3 runway show. With the usual tip-top tailoring, Y3 featured unique balloon pockets and structured pleats on stiff, rigid denim. Subtle stitch details graced the lightened steel grey denim while the men strutted the lesser athletic looks with neatly cuffed legs.
