NOTHING BUT NET
With the World Cup on the way, Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto’s soccer-inspired Spring collection felt very timely. A finale in which the infamous former French footballer Zinedine Zidane and Yamamoto jumped onto the floor to shoot some goals garnered most of the buzz, but the clothing itself was nothing to be ignored. Known for consistently crafting the perfect union of activewear and fashion, this season proved no different, with a sporty yet feminine range of flowing netted knits and structured basics. Versatile black and white dominated the palette, while punches of pinks and oranges electrified the look. Athlethic-inspired prints and accouterments kept things casual. From the streets to the field, Yamamoto has once again proven he is on top of his game.
