In lieu of a formal runway presentation, Fashion Office favorite Adam Kimmel released the look book images for his F/W 09/10 collection. The designer’s hope was to incorporate the world’s “true heroes” into his work, meaning the styles of railroad engineers, artists, and the other blue collar men who make the world go around. Even though there were some really luxurious fabrics like cashmere deconstructed blazers, the general look of the collection was meant to have all the discipline and hardness of a factory time clock. Kimmel’s self-described philosophy of “looks rough, feels rich” comes through loud and clear on things like washed chambray jumpsuits, brushed cotton three-piece suits and denim farmer coats. Most of the items within the collection were meant to be not only reversible, but broken out and paired with other styles.
