Good news denim heads: contemporary Copenhagen fashion brand Wood Wood has announced it’s launching a new range of denim later this month. We got to preview the collection earlier this year at Copenhagen fashion week, where we were taken through the line of super-Scandi styles consisting of jeans, denim jackets and a small range of complementing styles. As you’d expect from, the Wood Wood denim range is characterised by a strict monochrome palette and simple contemporary look with emphasis on superior fit and quality.

To showcase the new collection, the brand shot a lookbook with local photographer Philip Messmann along with a cast of Copenhagen cool kids and musicians Adam Ccsquele Nielsen of Slægt and Jacob Van Deaurs Formann of Communions.

The shoot takes on a very 1990s aesthetic nostalgic to early CK Jeans campaigns with the likes of Kate Moss and Mark Wahlberg. i-D spoke to the brand’s Menswear Designer and Creative Director, Karl-Oskar Olsen, who said: “I like to think of denim as the ultimate ‘cool’ fabric. There’s denim in all great subcultures and it has always shown the way of fashion in general.

“We made jeans a few seasons ago, actually really nice jeans, but as our mainline took so much focus we decided to wait with a bigger roll out plan until we were ready to commit to the product. We’ve always thought of denim as something that came naturally in our product range so I’m happy this finally came through.”

The collection will be available online from 23rd October, then pre-release exclusively in Wood Wood stores on 30th October before launching in selected retailers worldwide including Need Supply (US), mytheresa (Germany), Aplace (Sweden), Uncensored (Thailand), Allike (Germany), Básket (Netherlands), Hanon (UK) and Addicted (South Korea) from 6th November.
