Wimbledon’s grass courts have been on fire over the past ten days. Fierce competition – lady-like and gentlemen-like rivalry mind you, it is Wimbledon after all – is at full tilt. Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth II, has even paid a visit to the esteemed Royal Box for the first time in over three decades to watch her Scottish subject Andy Murray play Jarkko Niemienen. (Murray won….perhaps the Queen was Murray’s good luck charm.)

In addition to the Queen’s visit, we’ve been following the athlete’s looks and a few have definitely caught our eye. Despite both of their late finishes from the tournament, Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki, took first place in the fashion department.
Williams’ namesake, Eleven uniform is reminiscent of a 1920s flapper dress. The dress’ design incorporates a lace bodice and white fringe skirt. We hear she calls her outfit, “Vintage Tina Turner.” Her criss-cross straps exuded simple elegance while maintaining the proper support needed on the court .

Wozniacki on the other hand, equally stylish, sported Adidas by Stella McCartney. The front of Wozniacki’s a-line dress had a decorative floral embroidery in a tonal eggshell tint. The dress also has side mesh panels for ventilation. We first saw this look in May at retail, yet in a grey and teal green combo.

Serena Williams, who we first talked about in our initial Wimbledon post, is currently in the Semi Finals with Roger Federer, Murray, along with Rafa and Robin Soderling going head to head today in the Quarter Finals. We’ll just have to wait and see!
