Fusing contemporary design with traditional African weaving techniques, the Interwoven exhibition at Habitat’s Platform Gallery on King’s Road in London features 40 interior design pieces, including stunning handmade baskets and tableware.

Mixing diverse materials including dyed grass and waste fabrics with fashion forward fluorescent hues and contemporary silhouettes, this intriguing exhibition includes the work of five U.K. designers (all former Central St Martins graduates), as well as beautiful over-sized pieces by Gone Rural; a social enterprise supporting self-employed women in Swaziland.

Funding over 750 women in Africa, this exhibition is an important exploration of interior design and social justice, with vibrant results.
