This month our global team has curated a holiday season wish list made by them, inspired by what they are working on now, and forecasting for the future
This holiday season at WGSN we’ve decided to change things up a little. We’ve still got the tree and in-house decorations, but we thought it might be a nice idea for us to share the personal wish list items that we all dream of being gifted.
So we came up with the idea of a daily Advent calendar, the perfect way for WGSN Insider readers to meet the team members in our global offices, find out more about what they are working on and why they are coveting certain items.
Each day for the next 23 days, we’ll be spotlighting a member of the team and their seasonal picks, enjoy!
Holiday Wish List: Day Two
WGSN Staffer: Francis Wong,
Executive Vice President, Creative Direction and Production
Wish List Items:
As an Apple fan, I have to have the new iPad with the Apple Pencil. It’s perfect for working on CAD (Computer-aided design) sketches for our design library which already has nearly 70,000 CAD drawings. It will also allow me the opportunity to catch up on my favourite TV shows on the bigger screen, during my flights between our New York and London offices.
The VR glasses and headset by Zeiss, a smartphone driven headset that will work with iPhone. This is an exciting development because the brand’s lenses come at a premium price but the new VR glasses are much more affordable. The tech is also based on the open source Google platform, meaning there will be tons of VR apps available soon, totally transforming this field.
In my opinion men still don’t have that many choices for a stylish, fashion-forward black tie jacket- thankfully Wantanabe is reinventing The Tux.
This playful Junya Wantanabe blazer featured in our Best of Paris: A/W 15/16 report will be perfect for holiday season parties I’ll be attending.
