Holiday Wish List: Day 12
WGSN Staffer: Emily Spiegel, Marketing Communications Manager
This year, our holiday party for the New York office is at the Back Room – a speakeasy on the Lower East Side that’s operated since – get this – the prohibition.
Costumes are “encouraged” and while this Chloe one would probably break the bank, it might win me the prize of best-dressed. Ok, so it’s an unspoken prize – but I’ll know it, and they’ll know it – and being the best dressed at a WGSN party is definitely worthy of at least a year of internal bragging rights.
Lately I’ve been really into hats. There’s just something about a good hat to help you channel your inner J.Lo. Plus winter is the best time to subtly introduce the accessory into your wardrobe game. Maison Michel make the best and this one has that heritage feel, while still being current. And I want it. Mom, please take note.
It’s always hard to find a good gift for friends without breaking the bank. Which is why I love Le Labo perfumes for mine! A dear friend personally curated this scent for me years ago, and whenever I wear it I think of her and just feel destined to have a good day.
I love a good pair of statement frames. All my style icons had one – what would Iris, Diana Vreeland or Edith Head be without em’? I’m still hunting for mine, but these Balenciaga frames from Shop Miami Vintage come pretty close. I’m straight-up obsessed. Santa please?
Ok, I just have to say – how cute are these pyjamas from Olivia von Halle?? And yes, wearing something so nice to bed could be classified by some as extravagant. But what else is a good gift for? Plus, I could totally pair it with a pair of boyfriend jeans and Chelsea boots and wear it for work.
