WGSN and Copenhagen Fashion Week announce partnership focused on sustainability

WGSN and Copenhagen Fashion Week announce a strategic partnership aimed at providing creatives with the information needed to drive sustainability in the fashion industry. 

Leveraging the respective strengths of WGSN and its worldwide trend forecasting authority in fashion, and Copenhagen Fashion Week’s dedicated focus and expertise as a leading Fashion Week, the collaboration creates valuable information for both companies’ clients and wider communities.

As highlighted by WGSN in its Sustainability Strategies 2023 report (available for WGSN subscribers), the 2020 global pandemic has offered an opportunity for businesses to lead systemic change to create a more sustainable and inclusive future. According to a 2020 World Economic Forum survey, 86% of 21,000 respondents among 28 countries would like to see more sustainable and equitable products in the post-pandemic market.

Responding to that need, the WGSN x Copenhagen Fashion Week partnership aims to provide knowledge to inspire, educate and positively impact the fashion industry. By creating a white paper, podcasts, webinars and other events offered to the wider fashion community, both brands want to encourage the fashion industry to take steps towards more conscious practices and designing more environmentally and socially responsible products.
