At WGSN Insider we’ve been thinking about gifts with a difference this holiday season. Sure, you could buy the same old stuff to clutter your home, or you could give gifts that do more. There’s been such a huge growth in products committed to making the world a better place for us all. So, this year we’ve decided to launch a gift guide with a difference. This year, our gift guide will be focused on cool products that give back and lovely companies with heartwarming values.

Day Eight: Pjoys
We met Michelle Morgan earlier this year on the main stage at Cannes Lions and were bowled over by her new clothing concept. Morgan’s company is called Pjoys, and it is a small collection of pyjamas that will be out in 2018. But this is not any old sleepwear, this is sleepwear to help mental health sufferers. Morgan is also the co-founder a youth enterprise company called Livity and while she was working out how to take that company to the next level, she burn out and got really sick. Her illness affected her mental health, and she noticed that some days she struggled to get out of bed.
All of a sudden the concept of a duvet day really changed for her when she was sick. Normally a duvet day is a treat, you take the day off work, put on Netflix, get some chocolate and relax. She noticed though that when she was feeling burn out and depressed, she couldn’t get out of bed, and had no motivation to get out of her pyjamas. Talking about this with her husband Remi Rough who is a London born contemporary artist, she decided to launch the company PJoys. The line of pyjamas will be made with stunning hand drawn graphics (she was wearing the first sample on stage) and will use the power of PJ’s to help make mental health an everyday conversation. Fashion with purpose, we love it.
