So late yesterday afternoon I headed out to Brooklyn to go to the McCarren Pool Block Party in Greenpoint…though some people think the pool is in Williamsburg…and even though they were calling it a “block party” it was all contained within the enormous swimming pool…so actually it was more of a pool party…except there’s no water in the pool so it wasn’t a traditional pool party. As I was biking over to the pool, I saw so many kids with cute outfits that I couldn’t resist shooting photos along the way. Soon I met up with Vi and her roomie Lauren and Heather and other friends at the party. I had a blast – I love McCarren Pool parties. It’s such a cool vibe there – it’s like Williamsburg’s backyard. Then later, Heather and I sat outside for dinner at Diner, which is probably my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. While I was eating, Vi and Lauren went back to Manhattan and did a quick change and then we met up for Six Six Sick. Later on we headed over to 1Oak for Cameron’s party. 66S was packed and rocking and 1Oak was jammed too – New Yorkers go bananas in nice weather. OK – I’m still tired from all this and so I’m going to bed now but here’s some of the photos I shot. There are a lot more so I’ll post more of them tomorrow. x eddie
