Located in the heart of Barcelona, the newly-opened multicultural space and concept store is the city’s coolest new shopping hangout, says WGSN contributor Augusta Adriasola

It could easily be one of New York or Berlin’s latest hotspots, but Wer-Haus is just meters away from Passeig de Grácia, Barcelona’s most important shopping street. Founded by three art and architecture lovers, Nicolas Rossi, Jean-Antoine Palagos and Marc Miró, Wer-Haus just recently opened its doors a few months ago, but quickly has become the go-to place for those looking for a different concept store in the Catalan capital.

At the enormous and perfectly decorated space you will find small exhibitions of contemporary photography, an interesting selection of art and fashion books, a cute little café spot (with some delicious food options) and – the best part – a showroom with a perfectly curated selection of menswear’s top brands, from Raf Simons to Acne. A true heaven for fashion, design and art lovers, Wer-Haus is Barcelona’s most refreshing new opening.

City: Barcelona

Where: Carrer de Aragó 287

What: Shop/Eat & Drink

Three reasons we love it…

1. The Space

Owning to its name, Wer-Haus stands in a large space. A terrace with tables welcomes you at the door, and as you go in, the venue unfolds its amazing selections of art, books and fashion. The decoration is minimal with a touch of industrial, but there’s nothing cold about it, in fact you feel right at home while drinking a tasty coffee at the café or just looking at the wonderful clothes.

2. The curated selection of menswear

In a city where menswear stores are not in abundance, Wer-Haus gathers some of the most important brands in its showroom/store. From well-known designers like Lemaire to up-and-coming talents, the store offers a small but perfectly curated selection of sportswear and ready-to-wear. And it will be just a matter of time for the womenswear to arrive to the store.

3. The delicious menu

Just like the fashion and exhibitions there, the restaurant also offers a well-thought selection of food and drinks. The menu changes often as the Brazilian chef Célio Strapazzolli elaborates tasty options for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Local specialties with international savoir faire, all with an affordable price.
