Academy Award nominee and celebrated indie film director, Spike Jonze, is collaborating with Chicago-based record label, Chocolate Industries on the release of the soundtrack for his short film, I’m Here.
First viewed at Sundance 2010, “the film is a love story about two robots, played by actors Sienna Guillory and Andrew Garfield, co-existing alongside humanity in Los Angeles.”
The soundtrack is set to release on October 5th 2010.
Jonze knocked on the doors of music friends like Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, bassist Flea from The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aska Matsumiya to compose original music under the name, The Lost Trees. In addition to the trio, band favorites like Girls, Animal Collective and Sleigh Bells also contributed to the nine songs on the soundtrack.
