John Bull is an established denim and casual wear brand from Japan. Originally set up in 1963, it’s recently been making waves at trade shows and among denim enthusiasts on research trips to Tokyo. The style is everything you’d expect from a Japanese brand: a strong workwear aesthetic, great fabrics with an emphasis on selfedge denim, and beautiful authentic laundries with a strong vintage look. John Bull differs from many brands as the garments have a distinct modernized flavor: oversized proportions, skewed seams, and updated fits update the traditional workwear looks.
Another appealing point is the jeans are made in the Kojima district of Kurashiki- effectively one the the spiritual homes of Japanese denim.
