Elizabeth Keister, who was an editor in New York, took a different approach to fashion and wandered to Cambodia to become a full-fledged designer. With her own collection and a little shop in Siem Reap called Wanderlust, who knew that her style would quickly return to the Big Apple? Elizabeth’s preppy aesthetic comes from her deeply rooted connection to her hometown of Westport, Connecticut. Last year, she offered to make recycled eco-friendship bracelets for the opening of Madewell’s East Hampton location. Right in line with the feel of big sister brand, J.Crew, and the vision of CEO, Mickey Drexler, Elizabeth’s unique talents were quickly recognized. Now, her loose cotton shirtdresses, printed slips and summer scarves will be more readily available in this hemisphere (without taking a trip to the tropics).
