LONDON…Vivienne Westwood’s work, although an important part of fashion’s canon, is sometimes a bit difficult for juniors. Her secondary Red Label line solves that issue, by providing an outlet for more accessible work that appeals to the juniors market. For S/S 09 the collection offered a very broad selection of key pieces, many benefiting from Westwood’s signature draping and gathering. Short hemlines kept the looks young, while key styling ideas like knee socks and small bags worn across the body proved effective. As always, look to Westwood for dress, skirt and detail inspiration.
