Viva Berlin!

Hi there, it’s Kristin, youth culture editor for Stylesight — just back from Berlin where the fashion, art and music scenes are exploding and the energy is intoxicating! The streets of Berlin were filled with fashion forward folks out for S/S 10 Fashion Week and the Bread + Butter trade show. Pretty fräuleins in printed mini dresses, small waists with full skirts and super baggy pants were showstoppers. Graphic black-and-white and powerful all-black ensembles appeared fresh too. Standout looks from the guys included XL trousers, DIY design details and clever use of bold colors.

  • Absolutely great collection of photos. So glad that baggy pants have finally found their way into the world of fashion and people’s wardrobes.

  • rafmon

Great pics but why the low rez? Used to be able to click and get better detail with larger pics.

  • I agree with rafmon… we need to be able to make them larger… eddie’s did that. Also, please no-one should make this site in a pair of daggy thongs… that is so 5 years ago. OTHERWISE, LOVE and yes, love the girl with the 80’s wide hipped pants…. ADORE that line

  • sharon g

love the baggy pants, especially the 2 men, in orange and mustard colors.

  • love the looks, People are so daring…!

As much as I love street style from around the world, I always came to stylesightings because it was New York, there are other blogs for other cities but you guys did the real new york even better than Scott Schuman. I miss the posts about Williamsburg, where were you guys during the Siren Music Festival? I miss those pictures!

  • Aw I love Berlin!!! The last outfit is my fave..great photos (as usual)!!

  • Martha

I have to agree with Sarah. Love the shots from around the world, just miss Eddie’s street style from NYC more :/

  • I AGREE with Sarah… you are blitzing The Sartorialist .. he cannot keep up… I think it is because he is working on too many other projects, and you send so many, many, many delicious image at once and you don’t have a bias towards mag editors. Thank god you exist!

  • Berlin has amazing style ! People take more risk, its great ! I hope I can visit it someday !!

  • rafmon

such brilliant colours, the people (especially the youths) there are profoundly original and the combination with their devil-may-care attitude in wearing their clothes make them a delightful eye feast.

I love Berlin & I disagree, I love stylesightings because it covers such an array of different cities. Yes New York is amazing but lets not lose sight of all the other amazing places in the world!

Berlin rocks, check out those brave human beings xx

  • My favorites are the red head, the guy in feathers and the other red head near the end with the wonderful blue blouse and lace leggings.

  • Love the chap with the Brandon Flowers-esque jacket!

  • hello… i’ve been browsing through this site for a while and i have to say that my home town zagreb (croatia) now seems like a totally boring place cause people dress so uniformly and dull… everyone is the same but i haven’t noticed that until i saw all those fun pics on your site. wow!
