Forget mob wives and jersey hooligans, reality television is finally headed in a direction we can appreciate, with Bravo set to air a series on seminal Los Angeles vintage boutique Decades and its charismatic co-owners (and modern dandies) Cameron Silver and Christos Garkinos, reported WWD today. While still in development, it is ‘tentatively titled’ Decades and will launch in the 4th quarter of 2012. Garkinos told WWD, “The show will focus on shining the light on the rarefied and very specific part of fashion that we live in. We are curators and fashion arbiters.” And, like many reality TV ventures, Garkinos and Silver hope to use the show as a catalyst for other business ventures and Decades branding, in the vein of their jewelry collaborations with Miriam Haskell and shoes with Modern Vintage for Gilt.com.
We can hardly wait. Stay tuned for more Decades musings once the show launches late 2012.
