Vintage Magazine, an homage to the famous and short-lived Flair magazine (1950-1951), is launching this November. The semi-annual variety magazine will cover everything from art and food to travel and fashion with a vintage inspired aesthetic. Vintage Magazine’s editor and publisher Ivy Baer Sherman was so taken with Flair, that she is copying many of its trademarks, such as die-cut covers, for the premiere issue. As Sherman declined to comment on how much the first issue cost to produce, let’s hope she doesn’t fall victim to the Flair curse. Each issue costs $20 while a year subscription costs $32. A two-year subscription costs $60.
As the owner of every issue of Flair, Sherman has a lot to live up to.
