The launch party for the fall 09 line of Florsheim shoes by Duckie Brown is this Wednesday, June 24th. Although the shoes won’t be available to the public until August 1st, this kick off continues to create buzz around this vintage inspired collection, which includes the already exalted Patriot boot: a copy of a boot made by Florsheim in 1945 to celebrate the end of WWII. The collection also includes classic Florsheim shapes and styles in Duckie colors. The spring 2010 collection is complete and will be previewed at the launch along with the current models. Since Florsheim hails from my home town of Milwaukee, WI, my search for an original 1945 patriot boot has already begun: pictures to follow if I am successful.
