Everyone loves a good leopard coat.  Well, stylish ladies from the 40s through the 60s, 70s, 90s, and now 21st century did and do, in any case.  One of fashion’s perennials, the spotted leopard coat experienced a powerful resurgence on New York F/W 13 fashion week streets, in myriad versions that nodded mostly to its mid-60s Mod-era heyday.  Maybe it was the nostalgic spots in Stella McCartney’s Cruise/Resort 13 collection (also popular on streets) that prompted a communal dusting-off of its winter counterpart, or simply the combined good taste of the global fashion community- whatever it is, we’re happy to see a little Leopard Pride out there.  Below, some of our favorite looks combined with period inspiration from L’Officiel de la Mode.
