Karen Augusta is doing it again, but this time she is taking her vintage clothing and textile auction to the Brimfield Antique Show, or at least 6 miles from it. Augusta’s first New England textile auction will take place on September 10 in Sturbridge, Mass., home to the Sturbridge Textile Show. The auction will include clothing, textiles and accessories from the 17th-20th century with many items being consigned from museums; these items have never been offered to the public before. Augusta is also doing a “Discovery” section with grab bag boxes that will only be opened right before being auctioned off. If the catalogued photos don’t entice you, those mystery boxes could hold your next hidden treasure.
