New York: Anthony Vaccarello designed a collection for Versus that was sensual, bold, and strong: “a provocative and rebellious statement. ” And it was strong. The show was a cohesive presentation in optical black and white. Black for the provocative and sexy where mini-dresses and sheaths were slashed thigh high and then held by lion’s head piercings, while a lion plexi ring is at the heart of a short harness dress. Body revealing panels were cut in leather while bands of the Versace Grecian key cross the body on short dresses and gowns. Soft tailoring is sleek and playful, and especially bold when used with black and white for a new take on Versace prints that decorated blazers, pants and shirts. – Lizzy Bowring
