Milan: Dontella Versace returned to her label’s roots for this recent S/S 12 collection, championing an extravagant Classical Athens via South Beach aesthetic that featured Greek key patterns on everything from bloused shirts to cardigans, swimsuits, and long-sleeved polos. Hints of rockabilly added villainous flair to the collection, with some models sporting pleated, pegged trousers, western shirts, and at least one double-breasted drape coat — a trend that also touched accessories like braided leather wallet chains, skinny suede belts, and duotone loafers. Dandified suits came in bubble gum pink, salmon, and buttercup yellow, while blazers and pants sported bondage-inspired buckles, a favorite of the house’s late founder, Gianni Versace. —Andrew Luecke
