After a well-received foray into high fashion last year with A.F. Vandevorst, Belgian brand Marie Jo L’Aventure takes a leap into high art with a Renaissance-inspired collection designed by Veronique Branquinho.
Branquinho recreates paintings from masters like Raphael, Dürer and Giorgione with exquisite strokes of bottle green, onyx, silk charmeuse and artful fabric-piecing. Taking the inspiration one step further, the talented designer painted the fashion illustrations in the style of the Northern Renaissance court artist Lucas Cranach.
The capsule collection will be available in specialty boutiques starting in September.
