Vegas Trade Shows – Graphic Highlights

Trade show season is in full swing and Stylesight’s Graphics team has been in Las Vegas to report on the new trends coming through in graphics and branding.

The key parts of the sprawling Vegas trade shows are Project, Slate, Workroom and Pool.  These are where the team found the most inspiring and directional graphics. Capsule, held at the Venetian hotel was by far the most directional of the shows taking place over the three days.

Exact Science @Slate

Cosmic imagery is a trend we are seeing emerging at the moment, we particularly like this graphic from Exact Science, which had a fresh visual angle to it.

Vintage speed @Project

Orange Crush Exports @Capsule

Vintage transport graphics are still a strong trend that continues to feature on many tees. One major highlight for the team was Orange Crush Exports, a vintage dealer that had a massive collection of original antique lumberyard worker aprons and original printed flour sacks that were a real graphic resource find.

Remi Relief @Capsule

Talking vintage, Remi Relief was another graphic highlight with its reworked vintage American graphics and some amazing wash techniques that made it hard to tell which tees were not authentic vintage pieces.

Quality Peoples @Capsule

Vintage surf was another key graphic trend coming through on many of the brands. Clever new plays with faded photo overprints gave these tees a newer, modern look without losing the authentic 60s and 70s aesthetic.

Andrew Buckler @Workroom

On the techniques front, weathered looking appliqués and embroideries, were commonplace. One key highlight for us was Andrew Bucklery‘s hole-punched graphic tee technique, which gave a new perspective of graphic form on a T-shirt.

Insight @Project

CXXVI @Project

Lovege @Capsule

Some other graphic and print highlights included Insight 51‘s photo manipulated visuals, CXXVI tongue-in-cheek U.S. graphic logo statement tees and Lovege‘s eccentric prints.

The West is Dead @workroom

For branding we loved these hangtags from The West is Dead. Each one is laser etched and embedded with an antique coin to represent the brand’s emblem the buffalo.
