As the action at the tents dies down in New York, Las Vegas tradeshows were in full effect, with (capsule), Project and Workroom emerging as the most exciting and inspiring of the Magic shows. For Fall, designers are lightening up with soft hues of cream and olive emerging as the new neutral for both men and women. Heritage brands are continuing to capitalize on their storied reputations and focusing on collegiate and workwear inspiration for young men, with functional hunting and flight jackets emerging as key items as well as the continuation of the letterman jacket in various incarnations and fabrics. Meanwhile the Junior and Women’s markets had a distinctly bohemian West-coast feel, with maxi skirts, caftans and ponchos continuing to pick up steam, while sheer fabrics and soft leather lend a touch of luxe.
Stay tuned for extensive coverage of the Las Vegas tradeshows, where Stylesight’s team will highlight key brands and trends in Men’s and Young Men’s, Women’s and Junior’s, Denim, Footwear, Accessories and Graphics.
