Up, Up and Away

Contemporary hippies should consider this spot when composing their bucket lists.

There are no swinging vines or magical berries to pick, but the Prefab Unique Tree Hotel will transport you to another world nonetheless, with its innovative cubbies perched high in the trees. Located in Harads, Sweden (about 60 km south
of the Arctic Circle) the hotel’s first six structures were designed by five different Swedish architects who explored a man versus wild theme. The result is “glamping” at its finest. Instead of the two-cup, one string, tech-less features there is an electric floor heating system and an incineration toilet all of which are eco-friendly, state-of-the- art and simple.
