Urban Outfitters is hitting the road this month. Their destinations? Some of the biggest college towns in the country: Knoxville, TN, Athens, GA, Tallahassee, FL, and Columbia, SC. But they’re not just there to tailgate. Urban is partnering with Dockers to bring mobile shops (literally, they’re constructed of two large 20′ x 8′ shipping containers) piled high with curated gear, and locally-sourced pieces from some of the Southeast’s most promising young artists, headlined by South Carolina’s Hollis Brown Thornton. And, because it’s Dockers, this isn’t just any old watercolor work, it’s khaki-centric, with each artist giving their interpretation of khaki using raw selvedge-like material from Dockers Alpha collection.
