Retail giant Topshop knows their customer, and their own label, Unique, is further evidence. Casual, playful and cool, the Topshop girl was all about fun this season in dirty, washed and patched denim, scribbled graffiti prints and easy knits. Wide rugby stripes, rubber biker shorts and sports jersey-inspired tanks continued the active theme favored by New York designers last week. A sun-faded palette was electrified with mid-tone brights; messy side ponytails, fanny packs and vintage-inspired shades felt slightly defiant. Creative yet on-trend, Unique proved that wearable doesn’t have to mean boring.
