Opening at high noon on Friday, beloved Japanese mega-retailer Uniqlo’s new flagship store on 5th Avenue is three giant floors of colorful, affordable clothing and accessories. Like seriously giant. Like 89,000 square feet worth of giant, with 50 registers, 100 fitting rooms, and a first floor devoted exclusively to cashmere.
Yup, you read that right. Uniqlo is cashmere for the people, and to celebrate their opening, women’s cashmere v-necks will be flying off the shelves for a mere $49.90 (regularly $89.90), while dudes can scoop ‘em up for $59.90 (regularly $99.90). DEALS AND STEALS.
Once you’ve recovered from sweater overload, head up the stairs to the second floor, where the last round of the sophisticated +J collection lives, featuring perfect basics in more refined cuts and color palates than the men’s and women’s merch that fills the third floor. Of note: while supplies last, special edition skinny jeans priced at a laughable $9.90, and a $20 discount on premium down ultra light jackets, one of Uniqlo’s signature products.
Opens at noon on Friday, October 14th
666 5th Avenue 10103
Monday-Saturday 10AM-9PM, Sunday 11AM-8PM
