Uniformly Unique

New York…Donna Karan

Wardrobe staples will be essential during these uncertain economic times and Karan was reading every woman’s mind when she created her collection of sophisticated mix-and-match Womenswear. Interchanging among five of these pieces would create an array of sharp, tailored feminine looks. Drapey jersey dresses and knee lengths skirts remained consistent as her signature pieces, while enticing outerwear–including a caramel belted menswear coat, a portrait-collar alpaca jacket in royal blue and a midnight fur trim car coat—all looked new and stood out as the “must have” item for the season.

Absolutely LOVE these must have coats! Donna Karan brings back the power shoulders (as i like to call it) in a good way. I like her play on armhole/shoulder variations, such as the drop, straight, and round shoulder. She manages a voluminous top body with a slimming bottom half and cinched waist. Donna knows us women!
