Umbro Foosball Cup

Last Thursday the Active Team stopped by Berry Park in Williamsburg to check out the inaugural Umbro Foosball Cup Tournament, which pitted sixteen taste-making teams against one another for tabletop dominance, while showcasing the football brand’s forthcoming F/W 11 product.

Intra industry rivalry was the name of the game in a first round that saw titanic clashes like GQ vs. Vice, Arrojo Studio vs. Frank’s Chop Shop, and Yahoo! Dirty Tackle vs. Google.

Umbro kitted out each team in custom t-shirts and served beer in branded pint glasses, while DJ William Robbins played classic Manchester music like the Buzzcocks and Joy Division all night long. At the end of the evening, PSYOP won The Foosball Cup and all went home happy after a night of active-inspired fun. – Andrew Luecke
