ALL MIXED UP
London: The fashion world has decided that now is the moment for celebrity lines, and Sienna Miller’s newest collection falls in favorably. Similar to her star-turned-designer counterparts like Gwen Stefani, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Erin Wasson, the key to Sienna’s sartorial success is to mix her coveted personal style with key pieces and silhouettes from the season. A little bit gypsy, a little bit military and a little bit party girl, American-meets-British eclecticism was a driving force in the collection that the starlet designs with her sister Savannah. The clothes themselves speak to stylishly-inclined girls everywhere, with laidback floor length jersey dresses, whimsical crushed velvet frocks, a touch of denim vests and intricately patterned knits. Also notable is the low pricepoint, which means that not only is Twenty8Twelve a line that speaks to the needs of the average fashion-forward young woman but it’s attainable as well. Styling ranged from the lackadaisical to the daring, with basic black tights and middle-parted hair going up against fortune teller turbans and fisherman beanies. With everything from LBDs to draped intarsia cardigans, the Miller sisters have got their girls covered.
