Tsumori Chisato

PARIS…Perhaps the polar opposite of the restrained glamor of Karl Lagerfeld’s collection, F/W 08 from Tsumori Chisato looked wild and energetic, full of color and pop details. Known for her prints and cartoon sensibility, the designer looked to the sky for inspiration, creating light, cropped puffer jackets and dresses illustrated with airy clouds. Dip dye ombre tights were a key accessory complimenting the light fabrics and fanciful colors, and experiments with trompe l’oeil seemed fresh. A youthful and optimistic take on femininity.
