Paris: The finished goods counterpart to fabric/trim trade show Interfilière, Salon International de la Lingerie will be presenting collections from over 500 brands for the F/W 2012 buying season. As usual, the show is organized into the following sections:
Be Essential – foundationwear, hosiery
Be Lounging – loungewear, sleepwear, lifestyle interiors (new!)
Be Chic – luxury/designer collections
Be Spicy – young designers
Be Men – men’s underwear and loungewear
One of our favorite aspects of walking Salon is discovering new exhibitors to the prestigious trade show. An exciting lineup of established and emerging designers comprises this season’s distinguished freshman class. Here are some ones to watch:
Amulette / Jenna Leigh / La Fille d’O / Les Affaires / Les Garçons / Maaji / Mademoiselle Pull-In / Marlies Dekkers / Minuit Douze / Olivia von Halle / Petit Bateau / Rispetto / Rituel by Carine Gilson / Sabrina Nadal / Skiny / Spanx / Suite B by Blush / Sweet Chic by Ghibi / Thea / Touché / Valisere / Yasmine Eslami / Zinke
In addition, the event will stage two runway shows a day – one for corsetry and one for loungewear; a directional trend forum curated by Nelly Rodi; a visual merchandising section organized by MASH; and several trend presentations. Consult the schedule here and a handy interactive map here.
And finally, don’t forget to take a little breather now and then at the Pleasure Zone, the lounge area appropriately nestled in the loungewear section.
Stay tuned for our in-depth analysis of the show as well as daily blogging from Paris. À bientôt!
