New York: Women look to Tracy Reese for fun, flirty dresses and separates. This season’s collection hit upon several of the major trends of the week: transparency, Hawaiian prints, and sporty outerwear. Truth be told, the designer could have ditched the trends; all her best pieces were classic Reese. The full-skirted black and white floral dress with frayed hems would look just as good on the Hamptons boardwalk as New York’s Highline. Swimwear, something we have not seen much of this week, was either printed in micro-florals or in shades of monochrome sherbet. The crocheted neckline on one printed tea dress was so pretty, it’s a wonder the designer did not expand upon the idea. Still, barring a couple of unflattering ruched numbers, there was plenty to keep the cash registers ringing. – Shine Anthony-Dharan
