Fashion designer Tory Burch just enriched her product range with her recently launched home décor and entertaining collection.
Inspired by her own home and embodying her sophisticated everyday style, the line includes tabletop, soft goods and decorative accessories that can easily double as gifts, from brass picture frames and bolt-like bottle openers to serving pieces and accent cushions.
Blue and white drive the colour palette, covering plates, mugs and carafes as abstract all-over patterns that recall 18th century spongeware, or scattered as small delicate florals across textile place mats and napkins. Mixing and matching patterns is key to the collection, with the dual-tone colour range binding the elements together and plays of scale adding visual interest to the table. Bubble glassware completes the setting with a bold accent of Klein blue. Dishwasher and microwave-safe, the stoneware pieces are suitable for everyday use.
Cleverly photographed with antique china vases, the motifs blend tradition with contemporary romanticism to create a fresh, airy collection that evokes lively outdoor gatherings in bright summer days.
Homebuldlife subscribers can find more inspiration for blue and white colour usage in our coverage of the January 2014 edition of Maison & Objet. For more details on the collection, follow up on Tory Burch’s website.
