We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Olympic athlete and 2010 Snowboard Halfpipe Gold Medalist, Torah Bright. The ROXY professional snowboarder from Australia, was in New York City on a quick trip and fortunately we had the opportunity to do a quick touch base over coffee to find out what Torah’s plans are for the summer, and of course, her Olympic plans come 2014 in Sochi, Russia.

So, to make things neat and clean (and quick, she is a Gold Medalist you know with a busy schedule) we asked Torah to give us her top 5 goals and plans for the summer to get ready for the Olympics. In her own words:

1. “Getting Fit! Staying Strong!”

2. “Utilizing time for private training with the right activities!”

3. “Getting into the mental space I need. So, this summer I’m connecting with a life outside of snowboarding as well.”

4.  “I went surfing in Nicaragua. It was an aspect of training for this coming winter.”

5. “Trying to spend the most amount of time on snow as I can, to gain a greater connection to snowboarding.”

We wish Torah the best of luck for both the Boardercross and Halfpipe training. Only 198 days to go!
